The prescription for purchase of spectacles online shall contain the following information in order to be considered a valid prescription:

  • Details of consumer including full name, date-of-birth and NRIC number)
    • Date of eye examinations done
    • Issue date and expiration date of the prescription
    • Prescriber’s name, work address and contact number
    • Refractive error of the consumer (indicate spherical and cylindrical readings)
    • Inter-pupillary distance reading
    • Back Vertex Distance (if applicable)
    • Material/design of spectacle frame (if applicable)
    • Written assessment that the consumer does not have any existing organic eye disease or systemic medical condition that will affect vision
    • Statement of advice acknowledged by the consumer to undergo eye checks if the spectacle causes discomfort.

Note: Expiration date of the prescription refers to the date beyond which the prescription is no longer valid, and it shall be a period not longer than 2 years. The prescribing optometrist should inform you (as a consumer) that the prescription does not give any form of assurance with regard to the ocular status of the eye at any point of time.

Yes, but do note that our opticians are unable to do eye tests for children below 8 years old under the regulations of OOB (Optometrists & Opticians Board)

No. You have to remove your contact lenses to get your eyes tested. Please bring along your lens case and rinse solution. For disposable contact lenses, please bring a replacement set with you.

Note: For soft contact lenses, a minimum of 15 minutes of resting time is needed upon removal to perform an accurate eye test. For hard contact lenses, over 24 hours of resting time is required.

  • Frames and lenses are tested to International Safety Standards
    (ANSI Z87.1-2015/2010, SS473:2011, EN166:2001)
  • Eyewear must be fitted with impact rated SRX lens with a minimum thickness of 2mm (0.08”)
  • Safety Lenses must be tested to resist high velocity impact using a steel ball
  • Prescription safety glasses (SRX) must be equipped with side shields that can be securely or permanently attached to pass the side impact test.

Yes! We have reading glasses from Nike, Ray-ban etc.

Please note that for prescription safety glasses, eyewear must be fitted with impact rated SRX lenses with a minimum thickness of 2mm (0.08”).

For single vision normal reading glasses (casual eyewear), we do have high index lenses (1.6) to ultra-high index lenses (1.74). Our opticians will recommend suitable lenses base on your degree and preference.

We do not accept returns and exchanges. Please refer to customer care warranty information.

Customer Care

  1. 1-Year Warranty on Frames

WORKSafeRX and SWORKE eye protectors are warranted by safetyrx.com.sg for a period of no more than one (1) year from the date of purchase against manufacturing defects in materials and /or workmanship. We provide complimentary repair or exchange of your frames should there be any manufacturing defects within the first year of purchase. If we are unable to repair your current frame or if the model is no longer in stock, we will offer a replacement model from the same value range. After the one-year period, repair and parts replacement charges may apply.

For this warranty to apply, purchases must have been made from safetyrx.com.sg. The warranty is valid only to the original purchaser with a proof of purchase from safetyrx.com.sg.

  1. Damaged Frames
    • This warranty does not apply to deliberate alteration and/or modification of the product, installation of non-SWORKE or WOKRSafe lenses, scratched lenses, damages caused by misuse, negligence, lack of reasonable care, accidents, wear and tear, loss or misplacement of the product. All WORKSafeRX and SWORKE frames sold on safetyrx.com.sg will in no event be liable or under obligation for the payment of any special, incidental, or consequential damages. All warranties that are implied by law are also limited for one (1) year from the date of purchase. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which may vary from state to state.
    • If your frames are damaged within one year of purchase for reasons not covered by our warranty, we will offer you 50% discount when you purchase a replacement pair.
      1) The damaged frame must be returned to safetyrx.com.sg
      2) You may utilise the 50% discount on other items of the same value if your current frame is no longer in stock.
      3) This offer may only be redeemed once.
  2. 1-Year Warranty on the visual performance of the lens
    • We provide a one-time complimentary change of lenses if you experience discomfort in your vision within the first year of purchase.
  3. Prescription
    • Please note that this does not apply if the customer choses to use a prescription that was not provided by our in-house optician and list of authorised optical outlets.
  4. Damaged Lenses
    • In addition, the lens warranty does not cover physical damages which include all forms of cracks, scratches and abrasions that are visible on the lenses. However, if your frame is still in good condition, we are able to replace your damaged lenses at a small fee of S$98.00 per pair. This applies to regular single vision lenses only, for special lenses customer will have to make a top up for the price difference.

YOUR WARRANTY IS ONLY VALID WITH A PROOF OF PURCHASE

Visit our service centre with your eyewear and proof of purchase. If you are required to ship your defective product, pack your sunglasses carefully (if possible, within the original case and packaging) to avoid damage in shipment and send them postage paid via appropriate shipping companies, or any other method that allows the product to be traced if lost to your local distributor. Safetyrx.com.sg will not be responsible for any damages incurred due to improper packaging or products lost in transit. Be sure to include a proof of purchase with your shipment.

QUALITY STANDARDS

Our products are made from quality materials and go through rigorous testing. WORKSafeRX and SWORKE safety eyewear conforms to ANSI/ISEA Z87.1-2010 standards for high mass and velocity impact resistance, 99.9% UV protection and optical quality. These impact-resistant polycarbonate lenses are certified to ANSI Z80.1 Class 1 optical quality. All lenses are hard-coated for scratch resistance.

WARNING

WORKSafeRX and SWORKE eye protectors only provide limited protection. It is not a substitute for machine guards and other engineering controls in industrial or outdoor sports setting. This eye protector’s frame and lens are not unbreakable. Exposure to or contact with chemical vapours or liquids may cause surface cracks or other damage. Ensure that this eye protector fits securely at all times. Tinted lenses offer limited protection against sun glare or other light sources and should not be worn in welding, brazing, or furnace operations that expose eyes to optical hazards. Always check to make certain that you are using the proper eye protector for the job or activity that you will be performing, and that it fits your properly. Always examine the eye protector frequently before using and replace it immediately if there are any signs of pits, scratches or damage. Do not use this eye protector until a snug and secure fit has been obtained. Do not modify this product in any way. Do not use this product for any paintball or simulated war game activities. Do not use this product for protection against laser light, molten metal, gases, vapours, mists, smoke and fine particles. Engaging in any of these aforementioned actions would be deemed a violation of the warranty policy.
